City Lights
The first three lamps that I designed for my startup 3DLight where these three beautiful monuments from New York City. Skylines and city lights have always captivated me. Soon, I will be offering these for sale once more, when my new website launches. For now, consider reading more on this project on this page.
Coloring within the lines
By closely studying Bentley Europe's existing water cooker portfolio, I was able to distill an abstract notion of what lines, shapes and materials are recurrent in their products. I then applied this knowledge to the design of the new Beverick Boiler, to make it fit in with their assortiment. Click here to read more about this project!
Better flights, better days.
In assignment of KLM Flying V, my project team and I proposed a radical new business model for booking flights: offering tickets for activities on board, rather than for a specific seat. We designed an accompanying new cabin interior and the bunk beds - here seen in the back - are patent pending and got to the finals of the Crystal Cabin Awards. [We have reached cruising altitude...]
This underwater drone, designed by Lobster Robotics, was rendered to look like it was cruising 20ft underwater using just the light of the background image! This lighting trick allowed me to make the virtual submarine look fully immersed in the setting. Want to learn more about what I can do with digital rendering software? Beam me up, Scotty!
In a project for Ford Automotive, we developed a virtual friend/soul that comes with cars, to make car sharing a more personalised experience. I designed an app interface, as a proposal for what the interaction between this friend, called Scott, and you and your other friends could look and feel like. Click here to learn more!

For the startup Unpluq, I developed a card deck to help parents teach their families to spend their screentime more consciously, and in a more meaningful way. Read about the design process on this page!
One step for a VR company...
Here you see the VR controller glove with haptic feedback we designed for SenseGlove in all its glory. The glove allows users to manipulate virtual environments, and feel as if they are really touching what they see. Want to read more about this project? Then go ahead and click here!
2000 miles under the sea
As one of my most recent renders for Lobster Robotics, I made this animation of their most recent Lobster Explorer. I used a new tool from the app Pixamotion to create a seemingly infinite flow of luminescent algae, disturbed by the motion caused by the underwater drone. Very calming, don't you think?
Ready to ship!
With these three beautiful 3D-printed lamps being mainly popular in the USA, of course I had to ship them safely to their new owners. To make this set extra gift-able, I designed a special packaging box in which they could snugly and reliably be sent by post. Read more about this project on this page!
"What do you think of this?"
This picture was taken during the final product development stage of my graduation project, the Unpluq Card Deck. Here, I was testing my third iteration prototype of the card set with a family. Their suggestions for improvement were extremely insightful and contributed a lot to the final result. You can read more about this project on this page.
Are you paying attention?
During my graduation project, I learned how the time we spend can be considered a limited resource. Considering how much time we spend on our devices nowadays, I wondered whether that should be considered time well spent...?

Comfy enough?
For our Flying V aircraft cabin design, I decided to push my colleague students to build some very preliminary and rapid prototypes with the resources at hand - in this case two tables, some cardboard and a folding chair - to test our assumptions for the user experience. In the end, the resulting design has been submitted for patent approval. Definitely worth the effort! You can read more about this project on this page.

Make boiling water cool again.
During my Bachelor Final Project for Bentley Europe, I developed a new water boiling solution with induction... in a cup! Worried about the risk of users knocking off the cup while its contents are boiling hot, I decided to explore form factors that might help prevent this from happening - whilst still looking cool. But does it work?
During my Bachelor Final Project, I designed a new water boiling solution. This induction cooker works by heating a small metal plate that is embedded in the accompanying mugs, to avoid warming up excessive amounts of water. Before developing the physical embodiment, I first made this paper prototype to test the imagined interaction with the product. To learn more about this project, please click here to visit its' page.
